You take a screenshot on your phone, then need it in a document on your computer. Sending it to yourself works, but repeating that step interrupts the task. You can instead have new screenshots move to your chosen device automatically, over your own network.
OGAM (Off Grid AI Mobile) and OGAD (Off Grid AI Desktop) provide this through Pro device sync. Pair your devices, allow access to screenshots, and set Screenshots to Auto for the destination. After setup, new screenshots can transfer while the apps are active and the devices are reachable, without cloud storage.

This is useful for collecting a design reference, bringing a mobile error message into a report, or moving a screenshot to the screen where you want to review it. You choose the destination and sharing rule first; there is no need to send each new image manually after that.
What do you need for automatic screenshot sharing?
Use current apps with Pro access on the devices you want to connect. This guide uses OGAM 0.0.111 and OGAD 0.0.51. Complete installation and activation first, pair the devices, and keep them on a local network that permits communication between them.
On the phone, the app needs access to the screenshot image. On the computer, it watches the screenshot folder you choose. This is sharing saved screenshot files, not streaming your whole screen.
| Device taking screenshots | Source access |
|---|---|
| Android phone | Image/media permission for new screenshots in the system screenshot collection |
| iPhone | Photos access sufficient to read the screenshot |
| Mac or Windows PC | The screenshot folder selected in OGAD |
Phone operating systems can limit background activity. Keep the apps open during your first test, and reopen the phone app if transfer pauses after you leave it.
How do you make phone screenshots arrive on your computer?
Choose the computer as the destination, then turn on automatic screenshot sharing from the phone. Use a new screenshot for the test: enabling the feature is not a command to upload your existing screenshot library.
If you have not paired the devices, open Devices → Show QR Code in OGAD. In OGAM, open Settings → Sync, scan the pairing QR code and wait for connected status.
Then set the rule:
- On the phone, open Sync → Sharing.
- Under Sending, choose your computer in Destination. Select a named device for a clear first test.
- Find Automatic sharing and tap Configure.
- In the Screenshots row, choose AUTO.
- Allow the requested image or Photos access. If the app cannot read a screenshot, it cannot send it.
- On the computer, open Devices → Sharing. Under Receiving, allow optional data and Screenshots from the phone.
- Take a new, harmless screenshot on the phone, then return to OGAM.
- On the computer, open Devices → Files and check for the received screenshot. Open its preview to confirm the image.
If the transfer is still running, inspect Devices → Activity. Screenshot files belong in these file views; they do not need to be attached to an AI chat first.
How do you send computer screenshots to your phone automatically?
Set a separate sending rule on the computer. Select the folder where your screenshot tool saves new images, choose the phone as the destination, and use Auto for Screenshots.
- In OGAD, open Devices → Sharing and enable Sending if it is off.
- Choose the phone under the sending destination.
- Set Screenshots to Auto. If prompted, choose the screenshot folder.
- On the phone, open Sync → Sharing → Receiving. Allow optional data and use Receiving rules → Configure to allow Screenshots from the computer.
- Save a new screenshot into the selected computer folder.
- Open Sync → Files on the phone and check the received image.
The folder is part of the rule. If you later change where your screenshot tool saves files, update the watched source too. A screenshot copied only to the computer clipboard is not a new file in that folder.
Can you approve screenshots instead of sending them all automatically?
Yes. Use Ask when you want to review each detected item before it is sent. Use Off to stop that source. Use Auto only for destinations that should receive new screenshots without a per-file decision.
| Mode | What happens to a new detected screenshot |
|---|---|
| Off | The source does not send it |
| Ask | Sending waits for your decision |
| Auto | The sharing rule can send it without a separate approval |
These choices apply to the selected destination. Check whether you are editing one device or All devices before changing the rule.
If you configure Queue for an offline destination, eligible items can wait for reconnection. Skip does not queue those items for later. Neither option guarantees that every screenshot taken while a phone app is suspended will be detected.
What should you check if the screenshot does not appear?
Start with a fresh screenshot after enabling the rule. Existing images are treated as a baseline, so an old screenshot is not a useful first test.
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| Screenshot sharing cannot turn on | Image/Photos permission and the capability message beside the source |
| New phone screenshot is missing | Reopen OGAM; check connected status and whether the app can read that image |
| Computer screenshot is missing | Confirm the file was saved in the folder you selected |
| Device is connected but transfer is refused | Check the receiver’s Screenshots rule, including device-specific overrides |
| The rule says Ask | Approve the item or choose Auto for future items |
| The image existed before setup | Use Share a file now to send an existing file explicitly |
On iPhone, limited Photos access can restrict which images the app can read. This feature does not fetch an unavailable image from iCloud to make a local transfer succeed.
Does this need an internet connection?
The transfer can stay on your local network after setup. Keep that connection available even when the router’s internet connection is down. Android-to-computer and iPhone-to-Windows use the local-network route; remote access from outside that network is a separate setup.
Start with one destination and one harmless screenshot. Install OGAM and OGAD, pair them, and turn on Auto only after you have checked where the first image arrives.
