Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

This Policy applies to all use of the Service, including by anyone who began using it before this date. Your use of the Service - whenever it began - means you accept the version of this Policy in effect at the time of that use.

This Privacy Policy explains how Wednesday Solutions (“Off Grid”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the Off Grid Desktop and Off Grid Mobile applications, the Off Grid Console, the @offgrid/* software, and our websites (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Our core principle: local by architecture

Off Grid is built so that the data you capture, store, and process - screen captures, audio, transcripts, memory, clipboard, files, and the content you connect - stays on your own devices. This is privacy by architecture, not merely by promise.

We do not receive, store, or have access to your captured content in the ordinary operation of the local applications. Where data syncs between your own devices, it is designed to move directly between devices you control.

Because the content lives on your devices, you are the controller of that data and you are responsible for securing your devices and any backups.

2. Information we may process

While the Service is local-first, limited information may be processed in the following situations:

  • Account, license, and payment data. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment and licensing providers process your email, license key, and transaction details to deliver and manage your purchase. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Website and basic product analytics. Our website and apps may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage (e.g., page views, feature usage counts). Where this is used, it is intended to be aggregated and not to identify you personally.
  • Communications. If you email us, join our community, or subscribe to updates, we process the contact details and content you provide.
  • Diagnostics you choose to send. If you opt in to share logs or a bug report, that information is processed only to investigate the issue.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your captured content to train models.

3. Information we do NOT collect

In ordinary use of the local applications, we do not collect your screen captures, audio, transcripts, memory, clipboard contents, files, messages, or the data from any third-party services you connect. That data remains on your devices.

4. Third-party services

When you choose to connect a third-party service (for example a calendar, email, or model provider) or install the Service through an app store or payment processor, those parties process information under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services. Connecting them is your choice and your responsibility.

5. How we use the limited information we process

Where we process the information described above, we use it to: provide and maintain the Service; process payments and manage licenses; respond to your requests; understand aggregate usage to improve the Service; ensure security and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

6. Data retention

We retain the limited information we process only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Content stored locally on your devices is retained according to your own settings, and you can delete it at any time by removing it from your devices.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we process. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because most data stays on your devices, the security of that data depends primarily on you keeping your devices and backups secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information we hold about you, or to object to or port it. Because most content stays on your devices, you can exercise much of this directly by managing or deleting data locally. For the limited information we process, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

10. International users

The limited information we process may be handled in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to such processing in accordance with this Policy.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time by posting the revised version. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
