Ask for the decision, the condition and the source
A useful answer should tell you more than “the team chose option B.” It should identify whether the choice was final, what conditions applied and which meeting supports it.
Try a question tied to a real project:
Search my recorded meetings about the Cedar launch date. What was explicitly agreed? Separate the final decision, conditions still open and suggestions that were not accepted. Cite the meeting for each claim. Say if the record is unclear.
“Cedar” is an example project name. Replace it with your own topic. A specific question gives the model a better chance of finding a useful passage than “What did we decide recently?”
Get to the relevant record
Use OGAD Pro with saved meeting transcripts and a ready local text model. In Chat, select a local model that supports tool use and turn Tools on. Send your question and look for meeting-search activity and source citations.
If the model does not search, use the direct route: open Search, enter the project and topic, narrow Sources to Meeting, then open the matching result. You can use Recent when the date matters.
The citation opens the saved meeting, not a guaranteed exact audio timestamp. The meeting page gives you the summary, full stored transcript and recording player when the media is available.
Check the answer before treating it as an agreement
Read the surrounding transcript, not only the sentence that resembles your question. A later “unless” or “let’s revisit that” can change the meaning. If the wording is important, replay that part of the retained recording with the player controls.
Check these distinctions:

The AI can help sort the statements, but the recording remains the stronger reference when transcription is uncertain.
A summary is a starting point
OGAD’s automatic meeting summary uses the first 12,000 characters of the transcript in the checked implementation. A decision late in a long meeting may therefore be absent from that summary. The meeting-search tool also supplies selected, bounded material to the model rather than every word of every call.
Use the summary to orient yourself. Use the stored transcript and retained recording to confirm the specific decision. Do not treat “not in the summary” as proof that the topic was never discussed.
If the source is incomplete or one side of the conversation was not captured, preserve that uncertainty in your note. A tidy answer cannot restore missing speech.
Turn the verified decision into a short note
After checking it, write a compact record with four fields: decision, date, conditions and next step. Keep the meeting title beside it so you can find the source again.
You can ask the local model to format the verified wording:
Use only the decision text below. Format it as Decision / Date / Conditions / Next step. Leave missing information blank. Do not add an owner or deadline.
This gives you a note you can use in the project without asking the model to fill gaps from assumption.
New recordings require explicit recording setup and a visible indicator. Prepare local transcription and text models in advance for offline processing. The guide follows the Mac Pro meeting workflow associated with OGAD 0.0.51.
